So what are you waiting for? - the opportunity for you to improve your skills is right around the corner.
Think of learning another language as art or sport. - What does it take to improve in a language? - The similarity is that the language learner, like the athlete or artist, needs to complete 'the whole thing' to completing drills. For a swimmer, there is a time where she gets to dive in the water and swims the full length. At other times, she would need to focus on her kicks, for example. When broken down into parts, the focus on one part of a swim increases the swimmer's chances of success. The swimmer gets the opportunity to improve ONE skill - be it the kick, the hand movement, the flip turn, Etc.
The language learner needs to do the same thing. She should take the opportunity to create sentences, write in paragraphs, say what she thinks out loud, listen to podcasts, Etc. At other times, the language learner needs to do drills such as conjugating different verbs in different tenses, focusing on vocabulary, reviewing various grammar concepts. - Learning a language may take time. It can be faster for some of us and longer for others. Some of us learn intuitively. Some others may need to memorize. Some go right ahead and combine what they know and make up one way or another for what they do not.
No matter the language learner's proficiency level, it is crucial to keep in mind the importance of remaining courageous. Making mistakes is part of language learning. Being patient is vital!
Make time to practice. Practice the drills AND practice the language as a whole. Dedicate time to conjugate a verb and review vocab; plus, make time to put the verb, and the vocabulary learned in a sentence. This type of practice will help to improve and communicate with more ease. It will eventually become a paragraph!
If uncertain about what to do to boost learning a language, there is the option to choose the workout that will better match the area needed. Pick the most suitable one. The objective can either be to perfect that one skill. It can also be to try something new and challenging. For a kickstart, choose an 'EASY' workout as a warm out. Next time, choose a more difficult one. The same way one's body may get used to a workout, the mind, the tongue and the facial muscles may also get used to it. Soon enough, the language will be under the skin.
