NOTE: This is NOT an emergency but it is important for you to help please!

You know that you will be taking a French course this year, we will be using a textbook to guide our learning and ensuring that we will complete the Ministry's curriculum guidelines. Working together will help us to stay on task while taking some joy on what we will have to accomplish.

For each unit that we will cover, we will complete various tasks. Once we will put the completed tasks together, we would have met the requirements and hopefully would have learned something new or perfected a previous knowledge.

To take the analogy of a puzzle, each one of us is a piece of the puzzle. For those of you who are familiar with putting a puzzle together the following may make more sense. When you want to put a puzzle together, a possible strategy is to:

1. regroup the pieces that have straight edges, since they will become the frame of the puzzle

2. put together the pieces that are of the same color

3. choose a set of regrouped color and try your best to assemble them

It is probably easier said than done, but you get the idea. It is only when all the pieces come together that puzzle will represent a scene whatever it is. PLUS, the puzzle will remain incomplete until all pieces of the puzzle have been put together.

At this point you may be thinking how did we go from French to puzzle...I am puzzled!

Excuse the metaphor but here we go, each one of us will be a piece of the puzzle, various members of the class will work together on creating meaningful pieces together. Through the course of the unit, once we put all the tasks that were completed independently and in groups together, we will end up moving closer to the 'whole picture'. - Does it make more sense now? - Unfortunately, even if you are thinking NO, it does not make sense, I do not get to hear you.
